COLOR GUARD

In JROTC, the Color Guard is a team of cadets responsible for presenting and carrying the national, state, and school flags at various events and ceremonies. This role emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and respect for the flagThe Color Guard often participates in school assemblies, parades, and community events, showcasing their skills in precise marching and flag handling.​

Armed and Unarmed
Drill

In JROTC, Drill refers to a series of precise movements and commands used to move a unit from one place to another in an orderly manner. It involves learning and executing specific steps and formations, such as marching in cadence, aligning in ranks, and performing various commands. The purpose of drill is to instill discipline, teamwork, and attention to detail among cadets

Physical Training (P.T)

In JROTC, PT stands for Physical Training. It involves a variety of exercises and activities designed to improve cadets’ physical fitness, endurance, and overall health. PT sessions typically include running, calisthenics, strength training, and other physical activities aimed at building discipline and teamwork

Marksmanship (Rifle) and Archery

In JROTC, marksmanship refers to the skill of aiming, controlling, and firing a rifle to consistently hit a distant, difficult target. It is a sport that emphasizes control, discipline, concentration, and precision.

 

Archery in JROTC is an inclusive activity that allows cadets to develop their skills in using a bow and arrow. It is a rapidly growing sport worldwide, known for empowering individuals regardless of their popularity, athletic skill, gender, size, or academic ability. Archery in JROTC promotes focus, discipline, and personal growth

In JROTC, flag folding is a ceremonial process that involves folding the American flag in a specific and respectful manner. The process typically involves the following steps:

  1. Holding the Flag: Two cadets hold the flag waist-high, parallel to the ground.

  2. Folding Lengthwise: The flag is folded lengthwise twice, ensuring the blue field (Union) is on the outside.

  3. Triangular Folds: Starting from the striped end, the flag is folded into a series of triangular folds until only the blue field is visible.

This process is not only a demonstration of respect for the flag but also a way to teach cadets about the importance of tradition and honor in the military

Flag Folding

Robotics and Drones

A team focused on assembly of technological devices and equipment and coding them to perform desired tasks.

Swim Team

A team of the top 4 females and 4 males swimmers in the battalion. The District competitions for swim is in the spring and focuses on rescue type swimming (ie . rescuing a dummy), fast swim, and pushing a person afloat.
